What Is ABA, And Is It Right for My Child?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a research-based therapy that helps children with autism build meaningful life skills.

ABA uses positive reinforcement to teach new skills and encourage meaningful behaviors. Therapists break larger skills into manageable steps and practice them consistently in real-life settings.

Each child receives a customized treatment plan developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), with progress tracked through data and ongoing assessments.

ABA uses structured support to focus on teaching:

Communication

Social Interaction

Independence

Your child may qualify if they:

Have an autism evaluation. If your child doesn't have one yet, we can help with this

Have an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis

Show delays in communication or social skills

Struggle with behavior regulation or daily living skills

Have been recommended for ABA by a pediatrician or specialist

ABA therapy is commonly recommended for children ages 1–21, and early intervention often leads to the strongest long-term outcomes.

If you’re unsure whether your child qualifies, our team can help guide you through the evaluation and insurance process.

How It Works

1. Diagnosis

If your child has not yet received an autism diagnosis, we can refer you to a trusted provider. If a diagnosis is already in place, we move directly to intake.

2. Intake

You’ll complete our secure online intake form and upload your insurance information and diagnostic documentation. At this stage, we also run a comprehensive benefits check to verify coverage and clarify what services are available under your plan. You may be eligible for government assistance.

3. ABA Assessment

Once authorization is in place, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) conducts a formal assessment to identify your child’s strengths, needs, and recommended areas of focus — and develop a treatment plan based on the assessment.

4. Get Started!

We match your child with a technician whose availability and style align with your family’s schedule. Watch your child thrive and hit integral milestones!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)?

Autism is a developmental condition that affects communication, social interaction, behavior, and learning. It exists on a spectrum, meaning every child presents different symptoms. Some children may be nonverbal, others may speak fluently but struggle with social cues. Early and consistent intervention can make a powerful difference in helping children gain critical skills for daily life.

What is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)?

ABA is a science-based therapy that focuses on understanding behavior and how it’s influenced by the environment. It teaches meaningful skills—like communication, daily routines, and social interaction—by breaking them into manageable steps and reinforcing progress. ABA is adaptable, data-driven, and personalized to each child’s goals and abilities.

Why is ABA used for autism?

ABA is considered the gold standard for autism treatment because it’s backed by decades of research showing its effectiveness in improving communication, behavior, social skills, and independence. It doesn’t follow a one-size-fits-all model. Instead, it’s tailored to each child’s specific challenges and strengths, helping them make measurable, lasting progress in real-life settings like home, school, and the community.

What age children do you work with?

We provide ABA therapy for children ages 2 to 12. Early intervention is highly effective, but we tailor our approach to meet each child at their current level of development.

Do I need a diagnosis to begin services?

Yes. ABA therapy requires a formal diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. If your child hasn’t yet been diagnosed, we’ll help you connect with a trusted diagnostic provider.

Is ABA therapy covered by insurance?

In many cases, yes. We accept a variety of Medicaid and commercial insurance plans. During the intake process, we conduct a full benefits check to verify your coverage and explain any out-of-pocket costs.

How long does it take to get started?

We aim to begin services quickly—typically within two weeks of receiving completed paperwork and insurance approval. There is no waitlist.
